The Promise of the Father

Greetings...
Father God has made extraordinary promises - promises that are "yes and amen" in Christ. Those who are in proper relationship with Jesus share the promise of Father. Below are verses from the New Testament relating the desire of Father for His children. Promises of the same power that He used for the resurrection of Jesus (Ephesians 1:18-23), power to heal the sick and confront victoriously the powers of darkness, promises of the manifest Presence of God, promises of peace that passes all understanding...

The Promise of Father is for those who are His children; heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus (Romans 8). Read these and let faith rise in your heart...

"Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.''

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which,'' He said, "you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.''

"Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear."

"For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.''

"But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt..."

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Folks, the Promise of God are not weakened because society isn't interested! Just because there are many who really don't care if there is a Father God or care if He has promised anything, or, if He keeps His promises...just because there are even multitudes who will try and convince you that you're wasting your time "believing God"...those things should not stop you and I from desiring the fulfillment of every promise. "Shall the unbelief of some stop the faith of God? Nay, let God be true and every man a liar!"

Every Promise has a purpose. Every purpose has a corresponding promise. Father has everything that pertains to life and godliness wrapped up in His Promise. And, the Promise is to you and your children.

Where are you at? Is the Lord God your Father? Have you been born again? Have you been recreated as a new creation in Christ and have you been filled with the Holy Spirit of Promise?

Father stands ready to pour out all He has promised YOU. What are you standing ready for?

This Sunday, June 14th, at Valley A/G, we're going to hear about the Promise of the Father. The life, the power, the grace and healing - hope you can come. But regardless, understand this: Now is the day of salvation. Now is the time to seek the Lord. Now is the time to receive the Promise -

God bless
